After ignoring the elephant in the room for a long time, I finally gave ChatGPT a spin.
And I have to be honest. It wasn't the irrelevant tool I thought would be for my work.
My biggest holdoff was being unable to relate ChatGPT to a real-life usage that would positively impact my workflows.
I don’t intend to write blog posts or introductions like this with AI tools because:
But:
Seeing ChatGPT pop up on my feed continuously made me think I might be looking at it with the wrong lens.
And, indeed, I was.
Instead of seeing it as my replacement, I started looking at it as an assistant.
For example:
Whenever I come across a new concept, I could ask ChatGPT to explain it to me with an analogy or real-world examples like this:

This will save me the time and effort of sifting through low-value content on Google Search to get a good understanding.
I could converse with this tool like it’s an expert on this topic and have all of my questions answered in minutes.
I'm still exploring other areas where I can utilise this new technology. but it's a good start already.
