After over a year of contemplating it, I finally got a mechanical keyboard.

The biggest fear holding me back till now was that I would end up with an expensive keyboard I don't like.

But:

After trying a few with different switches and form factors in person, I was convinced that a mechanical keyboard would significantly elevate my typing experience.

And so I got one — the Keychron K6.

This is how it looks on my desk:

I got a hot-swappable version with blue switches for that old-school typewriter feels.

And having the hot-swappable version means I can quickly swap out the blue switches with other ones like brown or red if want to sometime later.

Having used membrane and regular MacBook keyboards for over a decade, this new keyboard is an absolute joy to type on.

It's like sitting in front of a nice typewriter and passionately putting your thoughts on digital paper.

But that feeling can't be expressed with a few words.

You have to try it in person.

So, if you're in the market for a new keyboard, try experiencing a mechanical keyboard at a store or borrowing one from a friend.

It might just be your new favourite computer accessory and productivity tool.

Now:

Talking about increased productivity, have you tried the Yakread app?
