Issue #76 | Subscribe

After almost 3 months of pause, I'm back with another issue of this newsletter.

It feels exhilarating to be back, but more than that, I've had a good 3 months of realignment.

Over the last few months, I've published five long-form articles, nine firesides on the Hulry blog, and a couple of book summaries.

And this little detour not only helped me take action on a backlog of ideas but also helped me reconnect with my love for writing well-crafted blog posts.

Therefore:

It got me thinking that we should take more detours in life or a cleanse every few months and see where it takes us.

A side-effect of these detours is breaking out of a monotonous routine and breathing new life into your work.

Which can be game-changing if you're feeling unmotivated doing the same things repeatedly, week after week, month after month.

So:

If you've been involved in a never-ending stream of routine work, try venturing in other directions that interest you.

It might be rekindling an old hobby or starting a side project. Maybe even taking that month-long backpacking trip.

You never know; it might open you up to new possibilities that you didn't know existed.

For me, it was letting go of the strict notion that only long-form articles pack in enough value to be published on the Hulry blog.

With Firesides, I can share short but impactful learnings from my life with you; they've been super fun to write.

Try this: take some time this weekend and plan a detour in your regular life.

It just might become the best thing you do this year. A toast to new beginnings. 🥂
