Hey there,

Have you ever had moments where you replied to a message or took action only to change your mind 5 mins later?

I know I have.

And the best solution I've found to deal with this mess is to pause before replying.

Pausing gives you the time and the space to take a step back and analyse the situation rationally rather than using your emotions.

For example:

I woke up this morning seeing a text from a friend that he had booked movie tickets without confirming the timings with me.

Now:

My first reaction to seeing the message was to cancel the plan since I had to be home at the time to feed my dog and take him for a walk.

But, taking some time to understand the situation helped me see that I could feed my dog early, leave for the movie, and come back in a few hours to check on him.

Plan saved.

Decisions made in the heat of the moment are often unideal.

So:

When you face a similar situation, pause before you decide and respond.

Take the time to figure out your options so that you can take a rational rather than rushed action.

Now:

Before you move on to the rest of the newsletter, here's an iOS app that I've been trying out lately: Flighty.

Travelling is fun. But, it can bring uninvited hassles such as delayed flights, gate changes, and more.

And Flighty has been helping me stay on top of my flight information with real-time updates.

Flighty informed me of a 20-min delay in flight timings during my last trip even before it went on the airport's departure board. ๐Ÿคฉ

And this week, I've partnered up with the Flighty team to bring this app to you.

Here's a message from:
