Hey there,
Here's food for thought โ it's okay to quit.
I got reminded of this notion when I recently left a book midway because I didn't feel any connection to it.
I was tempted to finish the book since โ a) I already spent time reading a few chapters, and b) I spent money buying it.
But:
Continuing to read the book would've been a waste of my time and energy.
So, instead, I redirected my time and energy, picking up a book that I'm enjoying and I can connect with.
And this principle is not restricted to books.
I've quit multiple side-projects to get to working on a project that I enjoy โ Hulry.
When you leave behind the low-value things, you pave the way to reach the things that'll leave a positive impact on your life.
So:
The next time you're midway through a boring book, or an unyielding project, quit and move forward.
No matter the sunk cost,
it's not worth investing more of your time and energy into a fruitless endeavour.
Redirect your energy to something useful.
Before we move on:
Seeing the interest in Literal invites, I had a chat with the good folks at Literal to bring more invites
to the subscribers of this newsletter.
If you didn't get a chance to grab an invite the last time, this link would give the first 150 people immediate access to the Literal app. ๐ฅณ
Now, grab a coffee, sit tight, and enjoy this week's issue:
