What do you do when you have too many ideas and too little time?

We can't act on every one of these ideas. We need a filtering mechanism that surfaces the best of the bunch.

Time acts as a natural filter here.

As I get new ideas, I write them down as vividly as I can in the Notes app.

Unless it's a time-sensitive idea that I need to work on urgently, I leave these notes for a while to settle.

When I return to them a few weeks or months later, I find that many of the ideas that seemed groundbreaking in the heat of the initial excitement aren't that good or even feasible.

With these flop ideas out of the picture, my list shrinks to a manageable size and becomes a focused group of good ideas that have passed the test of time.

Another benefit of this approach is that, by seeing these ideas with fresh eyes, I often understand the problem better, which sparks new thoughts and strengthens the initial idea.

I've been using this approach for almost everything, from blog post ideas for Hulry to feature ideas for my apps.

If you're in the same boat, try this technique.

In Today's Cover: The Spanish GP of Formula 1 racing starts today with practice sessions.

P.S: I shipped a major update for Shakkei with 2 new scenes and better sound mode and scene controls. Try it out.

Now, speaking of time, how about preserving your best memories in a medium you can hold, share and cherish for years?
