Issue #208 | Subscribe

Around two years ago, I announced the Hulry Plus membership in Issue #128 of this newsletter.

Although a subscription model would've been a much more financially viable business model for this type of membership, I intentionally kept the joining fee a one-time purchase to help build up the catalogue and reward early members with special pricing.

I've been hinting at this since the last few weeks in this newsletter, and now, I'm ready to shift the membership to a subscription model.

The subscription model and an updated one-time price structure will ensure Hulry's continued existence and also give me the latitude to do more daily experiments and write helpful articles.

Starting Monday, the membership will follow this updated price structure:

  • Yearly access at $49/year
  • Forever access at $147 one-time

The legacy $49 one-time pricing is still live today and will remain available over the weekend.

If you've been thinking about becoming a Hulry Plus member and joining the community, these are the last few days the membership is available at the early-supporter pricing I set two years ago.

You can become a member for $49 one-time until the new pricing kicks in, and have forever access to member-only series, posts, summaries and discounts.

See you in the Hulry Plus community. 👋

Now, let's move on to the rest of this newsletter issue:

Apps & Services

Eagle

A place to collect designs for work and personal ideas

This app has rapidly become one of my most-used apps in daily work. Eagle’s browser extension makes it easy to save images and videos from almost any website with a click, and the app lets me organise those resources easily for design inspiration. Available on macOS and Windows for $34.95 one-time. Hulry Plus members get flat 15% off on a license. Become a member to access more deals like this.
Forma

Your scribbles, notes and tasks in one canvas

Instead of a regular list, Forma gives you a canvas where you can draw sticky notes and write your tasks for the day, accompanied by any relevant notes and sketches. A different approach that’s worth trying out. Available on macOS for $9.99 one-time.
NothingHere

Hide app windows in one click

While this app is built with the purpose of avoiding uninvited glances at your computer screen, it’s also fantastic to quickly prepare for screen sharing during a meeting or recording. Press a key combo, and this app hides active windows and optionally replaces them with a separate app or file. Available on macOS for free.

Get Work Back on Track With Visual Management

I like this approach of resolving problems at work by “making the invisible, visible”. If you’re a manager or lead a team in any capacity, this piece might give you ideas that make your team’s work better. Even if you don’t, this technique can still work to some extent at a personal level.
