Issue #207 | Subscribe

A while ago, I came across a social media post from Quinn Nelson of Snazzy Labs in which he shared a simple shortcut that has helped him save time and effort when opening the system settings for the current app on iOS.

Like many others, I've had to open an app's system settings page to turn off notifications or location access, or tweak something else occasionally.

With Quinn's shortcut, this process becomes a one-tap thing. This is how the shortcut looks:

When we run this shortcut, it identifies the app that we're currently using and takes us directly to its system settings page:

To make this shortcut more accessible, you can pin it to the Control Centre so that whenever you need to access the current app's system settings, you can pull down the Control Centre and tap this action to open the settings page:

We don't need to open the system settings for apps very often, but when we do, this shortcut makes the process seamless.

Here's a link to download this shortcut on an iPhone. I hope this saves you some time and effort, too.

By the way, I've been publishing guides on the Shortcuts app in my new Shortcuts series, where I show how to turn your ideas into working shortcuts.

Part 3 is already live, and I'm working on Part 4, which I'll publish in the coming weeks.

P.S.:- A quick reminder that I'll be moving the Hulry Plus membership to a subscription pricing structure in around a week.

You can still become a member at the current $49 one-time payment pricing before the change happens.

Now, if you've been looking for something to help you focus, have you tried Omix?

Before you move on to the rest of this newsletter issue, here are a few words from:

This Week's Sponsor

Omix is focus music that adapts to your work in real-time.

It tracks your productivity and reshapes the soundtrack to match your momentum. The result is a feedback loop: you focus harder, the music responds, you focus even deeper.

In fact, a recent Stanford study confirmed that real-time audio feedback significantly improves focus. Try it for free!

Sponsorships are paid callouts seen by over 4,196 people every Friday. Promote your product or service.
