New look, who's this?

Ever since I planned to gear up on Hulry this year, I've been dreaming of evolving the look of Hulry products to match my vision for 2024 and beyond — the new age.

The new logo and this medium design revamp are all steps in that direction. Over time, I'll also retouch the blog design to retain the existing classic soul but exude a modern vibe.

Let me know what you think about this new design change by replying to this email.

Speaking of changes, I've been auditing my subscriptions, and the latest change was migrating my mobile connection from a postpaid billing service to a prepaid one.

I primarily opted for a postpaid billing structure because the company I used to work for reimbursed my mobile bills. Now that I'm no longer there, keeping the existing structure didn't make sense.

With a 30-minute migration process, I've reduced my yearly mobile connection spending from ₹11,600 to ₹3,600. That's a staggering 68% cost reduction for a one-time migration effort.

However, we often fail to capitalise on these savings opportunities by keeping our existing subscriptions as they are due to what I like to call "subscriber's inertia."

We subscribe to many things, and don't periodically review whether we still need those subscriptions or whether there's a better tier to subscribe to.

Taking this spring cleaning one step further, I'm also thinking of cancelling my ChatGPT Plus subscription now that Microsoft Copilot offers free access to GPT-4 and DALL•E 3.

Do this:

Take 30 minutes this weekend to review all of your active subscriptions. Are there ones that you could possibly downgrade to a cheaper plan or cancel altogether?

You'd be surprised how much money you could save by cancelling unused subscriptions.

Lastly, my book, Kokoro, is on track to meet the April-end launch schedule, and I have already written 26 out of 31 chapters.

I aim to finish writing all 31 chapters by next Friday, and start the editing and typesetting work the following week.

Thanks to everyone who pre-ordered my book. It was a massive motivation boost to see people support this project I'd been working on for the last 1.5 months.

If you didn't get a chance to pre-order last week or are new here, you can still pre-order my upcoming ebook at an early-supporter price of $20 while this promotion lasts.

I can't wait to get this ebook finished and sent to you. Watch out for more updates on the project over the following weeks.

Now, let's move on to the rest of this newsletter issue:
